Exxell bolsters with Aquisition
National engineering recruitment specialist Exxell, which is part of the Acorn Group, has acquired part of Track Safe Telecom (TST), the telecoms, installation and infrastructure management business operating in the rail sector.
Exxell has acquired TST's Signaling & Telecoms Division, which supplies specialist engineers to the rail industry, and its subsidiary Rail Safety Systems (RSS) whose technical specialists provide safety and critical planning expertise. The two will now become new divisions of Exxell, securing the jobs of 37 employees in Lancaster and South Wales, and adding to its new offices in London and Surrey.
Exxell's clients include EDF Energy, Bailey Maintenance, Westinghouse, Alfred McAlpine and Network Rail. Formerly Oracle Global resourcing, Exxell is the UKs Technical Division of global recruiter Synergie, the 5th largest recruiter in Europe.
Nigel Rees, Director of Exxell, said: "The incorporation of the new business from TST helps strengthen Exxell's position as a leading engineering specialist across the UK.
"The recent acquisition shows that despite the difficult state of the economy, Exxell remains intent on growing and developing our activity throughout the country. Here in the UK, together with our sister company Acorn, we have continued to buck the trend in the recruitment industry over recent months with discernable improvement in our overall performance and profitability."
