Group’s Crewe branch announces record week for temps

Leading UK recruitment and training company, Acorn which is Concept Staffing’s parent company, has experienced a record breaking week at it-s Crewe branch with a massive 1005 temps placed per day.

The figure surpasses the previous highest number recorded in recent months of 950 to become the best week for temps in the branch’s 12 year history. The temporary workers, placed during the week ending November 19th were recruited using on-line adverts, on Acorn’s new website www.acornpeople.com, and word of mouth referrals, and performed roles in the packing and production sectors within these companies.

The Group’s Crewe branch manager Alex Ellwood said: “We have a strong reputation when it comes to placing temporary staff. Companies in the area know our name and trust that we can deliver reliable and hardworking staff that can fulfil their needs for whatever period they are needed.

“While the success of our temps sector is obviously very exciting for us, we are also experiencing an increase in demand on permanent side. Companies that cut back at the height of recession are now finding the confidence to rebuild their workforce numbers, and they are coming to us to help them do this.”

Last month the Acorn Group, which includes Concept Staffing, the leading agency in the South West of England and specialist London and South East based recruitment business Exxell, announced a record week’s revenue of £2,000,500 from temporary recruitment.
