New website improves job searching
The South West’s leading recruitment agency, Concept Staffing, is implementing state-of-the-art technology to help job-seekers find suitable employment.
Concept has used software specially developed with its technology partners, who are expert in the field of recruitment technology, to create a website that makes it easier to search for a job. The information they record enables Concept’s database to match the jo- seeker to any current and future suitable vacancies more accurately than ever before.
The website enables candidates to update their own data more easily so that it remains fresh as their requirements and circumstances change.
The website has been developed to meet the changing needs of both job-seekers and employers alike. Following extensive research job-seekers wanted improved communication from their employment agency and this is exactly what the new site does; updating them at key stages of their application. Likewise, employers want more targeted short-lists of ideally matched candidates saving them valuable time.
Job-seekers rely more and more on electronic job boards from which they can apply for roles from the comfort of their home or even their phone. Research shows that the majority of job-seekers use more than 5 job boards when they look for work as they like to have a variety of options to ensure they are exposed to the most amount of jobs possible and increase the chances of them finding a job that is right for them. For this reason the new site is fully-interactive with major job boards and social media platforms. The site works in tandem with Broadbean Technology, the European leader in job advert distribution, ensuring quicker response rates and turn around of vacancies for both job-seeker and employers.
Concept is part of the Acorn Group, and together they place more than 6,000 people into around 850 different companies across the UK each week. They have seen their number of on-line applications increase three-fold over the past 5 years, which is good news for companies looking to fill vacancies as it enables Concept to find more suitable candidates, and in many instances could lead to an even quicker turnaround.
Concept's director Karen Sharpin, said: “It’s one of the most advanced recruitment systems anywhere. The whole process of handling job applications is now totally streamlined allowing Concept’s recruitment specialists to spend their valuable time doing what they do best – finding the right candidates for the right jobs.
"But alongside the technical things that the website does in the background, it’s important that job-seekers find it more user-friendly. The way we look for employment has changed dramatically in recent years and continues to change so we have built a website that works with all different platforms for job-hunting and is very easy for people to use.”
“The end result is that everyone benefits from the new website. Candidates’ profiles are really made to work for them – they’ll be matched against more jobs than ever before, and employers will benefit from having a greater depth of top quality candidates to choose from.”
